Promoting a fund-raiser of epic proportions
My friend and former running coach, Toby Tanser, is the mind behind Shoe4Africa. In his current quest to help build the first public children's hospital in Kenya, he decided to spread the word and raise money by running 250 miles from the Indian Ocean to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro! He requested my help in creating a poster to promote his cause. I came up with this illustration, which combines rough, varied terrain, with a hopeful and earthy color palette. I wanted the type to be both bold and convey movement, and I think my font choices gave a good mix of each.
