I was invited to participate in Shanghai Type exhibition from a social group of Shanghai Graphic Designers.
It was a project about two things: typography and the exotic city of Shanghai. The project provides a creative plataform for designers to share their talents and explore the city from a different perspective. The only requirement is to create a GIF animation file that must contain the name of the city and a typeface.
The target was transformation of typeface design from traditional "Graphic Design" into "New Media" will be exhibited dynamically. It is an expression of interaction between Design and Public Community, a new attempt of presenting visual graphics through multi-media, from CMYK to RGB.Then they will pick out some works which will be shown on the LED screen of Bundstar Media in Shanghai Pudong district (the biggest outdoor LED screen all over the world) in summer of 2014 to convey a whole new design and life concept to people.
