In 2009 I started working on an local internet network replacement that we called Shaker Net. Shaker Net would take advantage of a fibre optics infrastructure, providing high speed internet at a highly competitive price point. We shut down Shaker Net when we realized we would soon be fighting Google–which has now developed into Google Fiber.
