  • Sequentials & Narrative Work
Dreams of a storyteller, painted in cel-shades.
  • Samples of my sequential narrative and comic work.  Some of these pieces are assignments from my Sequential Narrative class and some may be personal projects.  As an avid, lifelong collector of comicbooks and a huge fan of children's books, these pieces are the culmination of all the magical stylistics and technical elements I've always admired in the works of my heroes.
  • The Key Phrase: "Are You Alright?"
This was the first assignment for my Sequential Narrative class.  The guideline required us to write and illustrate a four panel comic page which incorporated the phrase "Are you alright?" in it.  The narrative I illustrated is actually taken from an idea for a graphic novel I've had bouncing around for a few years now.  The required final output called for black and white but I'm more comfortable with rendering tone in colour so I did a colour version and converted the colour profile from RGB to Greyscale.

Drawn and inked by hand with Copic Multiliners (B-2) and rendered in Adobe Photoshop
