In 2008 I went to Seoul for an Architectural trip as part of my Year 2 at London Metropolitan. The project was situated on the River Han, which runs through the city, much like the Thames does through London. The intention was to make an intervention that dealt with both the complex infrastructure as well as the difficult relationship that exists between the city and the river.
The design was influenced by Peter Zumthor's Thermal Baths. By using platforms, steps and voids to create personal spaces as well as natural flow from the high point of the city to the lower ground at the water's edge.
