Self-Promotion unit

---

Self-Promotion Unit at University required the creation of a personal identity that would reflect myself as a designer, spanning from print to web.

I worked on having a consistent visual identity that would be both recognisable as well as professional across different mediums, without the use of a logotype or turning myself into a brand. Using typography, a solid grid structure along with layout, texture and finally colour I created consistent visuals.
The colours used are a bright green, dark grey and pearl white. The green has an enthusiastic and playful tone, which works well contrasting against the more serious grey, for a sophisticated aesthetic. The use of white brings balance as well as elegance to the colour palette.
The copy on the back, "I'm a tiny defenseless business card, please keep me safe in your wallet" was written by me and I'm pleased to see it always gets a positive reaction.
Ultimately, my self-promotion items reflect how I personally see myself as a graphic designer, keeping a balance between professionalism and playfulness.

I was solely responsible for this project, from the development of concepts and designs through to the physical production of the business cards.  I also coded the website in HTML5 and CSS3.
