BETWEEN THE ESSENCE AND THE CREATION
This 39-pg, hand-made, french folded, promotional book is a personal reflection and exploration of the values that I hold most dear in life as a graphic designer. In several of the spreads I use experimental typographic techniques to communicate my message.
The slip-case was made out of 100lb semi-transparent vellum.
It begins with an excerpt from "The Hollow Men" by T.S. Elliot, one of my favorite poems.
The word "expression" was made out of chewing gum on thumbtacks.
The word "meaning" was created from a Conan the Barbarian puzzle I found.
The word "awareness" was created from coffee and sugar.
The word "integrity" I actually got tattooed on the inside of my lip. That's dedication! Yes, it hurt, but didn't take long to finish.
