Seiran Gate  University of Kitakyushu

A new gate for the University of Kitakyushu was built in order to accomodate traffic to the adjacent Monorail station in cojunction to the new construction of the student exchange center sharing a white self similar gate motif enhancing the identity of the campus.

Galvanized gate doors are concealed as if it is an interior side of the Gate. The concealment of the gate doors signifies welcoming attitude of the University, because the visibility of the Gate doors itself creates a impression that there are doors which could hinder entrance to the University at the discretion of the University.
