Rasmus and I had the opportunity to paint the display windows of the abandoned "Forum" in Eisenerz for the art festival EisenerZ*ART.
We decided to paint the windows with aerosol from the inside to create a basic layer and then scrape off parts of it to "cut out" various elements: a miner, an aquarius and some dates. The symbols represent parts of the real and mythological history of the region and the dates are signposts for important things that happened in Eisenerz in the past.
By scraping off parts of our paint you can still look inside the abandoned building, which was revitalized as the festival center for www.rostfest.at
