Science
- Science Imagery
Illustration, posters, photography - During my time as an undergraduate and graduate student in Materials Science and Engineering, I created several illustrations, posters, and photographs to showcase and explain my work. This is a small selection of them.
The first science illustration I ever did. This is a schematic of intermembrane proteins in the phospholipid bilayer of cells, created for a summer-between-high-school-and-college research internship on creating a biofuel cell utilizing an ion concentration gradient across a phospholipid membrane.
Schematic of the device structure for the project described above.
The first poster I created for my graduate research project. The illustration under "Structure" and the photos are my own. Details below.
Detail of the "Structure" section from the above poster. This is just a crop of the poster image; I'll get a better file when I have more time.
Detail of one of the poster photos. This was taken to illustrate the set-up used when airbrush-coating polymer-based solar cell active layers. Yes, I know the air hose is not connected to the airbrush :)
Second poster I created for my graduate research project.
Photograph of the photoluminescense spectrometer in my graduate lab.
