- video reel contents: 2 bumpers, 1 lineup
This is a network branding reel for a fictitious network called Sauce. Sauce is a cooking channel geared toward a younger audience (around college-aged) that may not know how to cook, where to find the food items they need, or interesting places they can choose to eat at.
This piece includes a logo, two bumpers, and a lineup.
The requirements for this project were to utilize video and incorporate graphics. My pieces use small snippets of video in addition to stop action animation. Kitchen patterns were masked into each frame. Type is included on vector graphic recipe cards. I also made the apple pie featured in the lineup. It provided a delicious ending to a long day of filming.
Two members of my CG class appear in the video: Ryan Tauss and Emily McLain
- The logo is in the shape of a drip of sauce. This drip also plays with the "mess" theme seen within the videos. The logo is split into four sections that increase in size as they move toward the bottom. These four sections represent the sections of the food pyramid. The colors within the logo are vibrant and have a retro vibe that fits with some of the programming on the channel.
