Sasaki Associates Proposal

Sasaki Associates
University of Cincinnati proposal
Sasaki Associates was bidding on a $65 million dollar project to redesign student housing for the University of Cincinnati. They only had three weeks to create a proposal which usually takes 3 months. I used the actual architectural renderings instead of scale models. The building design was cutting-edge in that it relied on solar panels to provide natural light and energy for the water and cooling systems in the buildings. Consequently, the buildings had a unique, trapezoidal shape. I used this shape to inform the look of the brochure and how type
was laid out in the proposal. The piece itself was printed on special Yupo paper that is satin smooth, yet indestructible, in that it can't be torn or ripped, to play up the modern and stable design offered. The deadline was met, and Sasaki won the bid.
