This was a series of spaces I designed that lead to a sanctum. I wanted to create the feelings of compression, release, procession and place in the space. The path begins by walking up a few steps into a tunnel. This is where the person may feel compressed and claustrophobic or cozy and safe inside. Soon the individual will walk up a hill into the exposed sunlight. The path will lead to a lake, where the individual can float or swim in while they reflect on their personal thoughts, it is a place for the individual to cleanse their soul and mentality. Finally the individual reaches a megaphone like cave. At the end of the cave is the edge of a mountain, there are steps on the side where the individual can exit. Before they do they can sit on the bench to scream out their emotions to their heart's content. This is the sanctum of the space. It's a place where the individual can completely release themselves and cuss out to the world. Read Less
