The dull, grey, endless surface of the blast wall at the Forward Operating Base "Salerno" is reminiscent of the Afghan landscape – covered in Moon dust, with all color seemingly sucked out of it by the harsh climate and endless wars.
The rain tries to soak the concrete, to fight with water this impenetrable combination of alien chemicals hardened by years and years of scorching sun, only to disappear inside leaving behind just a sound of impact. Read Less
