Objective: To redefine Svedka as not just another club or party vodka. The rebrand will evoke Swedish pride and play on the old-fashioned traditions of Sweden in an honest and quirky manner.
Concept: The Stockholm Spirit
Publication: New York Magazine
Objective: I chose to do an advertorial in New York Magazine because it fit perfectly with the demographic the rebrand is going for. I opted for a non-traditional approach in choosing the "Intelligencer" feature of the magazine as opposed to an article of long copy which might turn away some readers because of its length. The page looks similar enough to the format that New York Mag already uses so that it's familiar, but uses the Svedka art direction and a map of Sweden instead of NYC. The section features the "Neighborhood News" section, a quote, and a quiz.
