Spear tower 5 star luxury hotel is a project made by students
Milica Stankovic and Vuk Djordjevic from the Belgrade
University of architecture located in Serbia, for
their 3rd year of study. The main idea was to create a high-rise hotel which
will represent a land-mark in Belgrade
where it is situated. The tower is 201 meters tall and has 80 000 square meters
of space. The structure itself consists of the inner core and the outer shell which
in this case is a chamfered triangle rotated around the inner core while
supported by 7 equally rotated trusses. In this case the green floors which are
repeated on every 6th floor of the skyscraper. The extended green floors are
open-space gardens opened not only to the guests but also to the visitors of
the hotel. The gap between the inner core and the 7 extended trusses provides an
excellent source of natural ventilation to the building.
The hotel itself
has 4 restaurants, 3 bars, a large conference area, a wellness center, an art
gallery, a library, several shopping areas, an administration area and over 250
rooms.
