I got the opportunity to design an editorial piece on the darker side of snowboarding which is unknown to the status quo. Usually when people think of snowboarding they envision bright whites and blue skies much to the contrast on these pages where the theme is dark, gritty and urban.
I used an orange and white colour scheme to really contrast and uplift the type but at the same time keeping it grounded through the use of a transparency.
