All things stand tall. For that, there was only a need of use of uppercase characters. - L I C H T P U N T U P P E R C A S EConstruction detail of each character and note of the light points.

- There was a need to make S K Y H I G H have a strong cohesive image that clearly separates it from the rest ofR A D I S S O N B L U H O T E L . It felt necessary to create a typeface that would apply not only to the S K Y H I G H and
S K Y L O U N G E logos lettering but to all the signage displayed though out the three floors of Sky High.
A typeface that would convey the same feeling and style of the new interior design..
L I C H T P U N T is the typeface custom designed by A L E X A N D R A M E N D E S for the Sky High project.The characters are T H I N , TALL and M I N I M A L. Sharp lines and round edges. The details on the joints of each character refer to light points, as if the type is carved in a dark surface, and from behind it light shines through. Those joints become light points, and from there comes the typeface name (licht punt = light point). - S K Y H I G H S I G N A G E

. - S K Y H I G H is a collaboration of A L E X A N D R A M E N D E S with C R E N E A U I N T team, who designed the interiors for the three top floors of the R A D I S S O N B L U H O T E L, in Hasselt, Belgium. S K Y H I G H has its own branding and communication strategy within the hotel. The three levels consist in meeting rooms, conference vs. restaurant area and tops it with the champagne bar S K Y L O U N G E. The branding for Sky High was thought through to blend in with it's new interior design concept. S H A P E, L I G H T, F E E L I N G.... Sky High's look is about sharp tall lines, round edges, a minimal color pallete and a mix of textures. To be able to translate this mood graphically, a custom typeface was designed for the project — L I C H T P U N T. It's used on the Sky High and Sky Lounge logo lettering, and on the signage displayed around the three floors. It translates the mood of a C L E A N C U T, C O S M O P O L I T A N place, both C H I C and C O M F O R T A B L E.
