SILENT. is an attempt to design a modern collection of candleholders, using old casting methods.
Trip Trap, being most famous for their "Drachmann"-benches designed in the 80's, wanted a product design that would be able to reinforce their renewed urban approach to product designs. Is it possible to make candle light popular among the young and wild?
The final shapes are inspired by several classic danish products, and converts the classic idioms into danish design anno 2012.
SILENT., being a collection of three different candle holders, is possible to cast in hundreds of different materials and metals. Using steel or iron, the weight will make it possible for out-door use, while using cronning (molded sand) will give an exciting surface and a colmpletely different design language.
