From drizzle town, a soggy collab
  • São Paulo city is known, in local slang, as "terra da garoa", that means something like "drizzle town".

The art collective SHN has made one of their inumerous interventionts in downt0wn. I, in company of Renato "Storvo" Guidolin, went to the place, made a picture and later he worked over the illustration that would become a Storvo, Inc.'s t-shirt.

    Follow the process below.
  • SHN has provided us pictures of the two spots where they glued the skull illustration.
  • SHN has provided us pictures of the two spots where they glued the skull illustration.
  • I as the middle part of the process and Renato Guidolin as the end, went to the place.

Our first option was this spot, with the old building of the national posting service at left, the Anhangabaú Valley at the center and the famous Banespa and Martinelli buildings on the background.

We hadn't much time left to work on the piece and the place is very crowded on days of week. So we have chosen a religious holiday to come and make the picture.

The fact we weren't expecting was that there would be a religious event in front of our scene.

So, we started to make out some photos, considering photoshopping people.
  • Then we went behind the wall as an option, but we would loose the Valley and the two of three historical buildings on the scene. And the damn tree in front of them.
  • Third option, the second spot. See it was a lucky day, a bunch of cyclists now in the scene.
  • The correct framing and the wait for The Moment, a little post-production on the few people present on the scene, we had the perfect picture.
  • Voilà, the final art from the hands of Renato.
  • Finally, the Storvo, Inc. tee.
  • Detail of the tee, with a very soft high-quality print called "touch zero"
