Video case studies present a unique challenge. Everyone wants those interviewed to be articulate and charismatic and to say amazing things about your product. The truth behind the story is always something different. People stutter, stumble and cough. They may be uncomfortable in front of the camera. Expressions aren’t what you hope for. They may never mention your product. You have to guide them, make them feel at ease,and do several takes. You’re really shooting a documentary. Editing is key.
Our goal was to show staff using the product, demonstrating how they use features of the product in training, brainstorming and collaborative scenarios.
SCAN Health Plan is a Medicare Advantage plan serving the needs of more than 128,000 members in California and Arizona. They were fantastic to work with. Everyone was very patient with us, letting us reshoot as many times as necessary, and giving us freedom to move around their office as required to get b-roll.
