The studios will be available for hands on designer makers, who focus their skills in ceramics, pottery and textiles.
We were asked to brand and promote the opening of the 10 studio spaces in November 2012 in Leicester's Cultural Quater.
There was great emphasis on the building which is under renovation, a grade II listed hosiery factory with beautiful red brick exterior. I noticed in my research how the interior has a gorgeous King Truss roof, which influenced the brand greatly. It represented not only the historical architectural aspect of the building, but the number of studios and also in a way how the creatives would cross paths and engage with each other. Consideration was also taken as to how Leicesters Cultural Quarter already has such a warm community feel, therefore I felt this should be reflected in the advertising posters.
