Rosenwald Schools Conference

In 1912, Julius Rosenwald and Booker T. Washington formed a partnership that was a major effort to improve the quality of public education for African Americans in the early twentieth-century South. A conference is to be held in June 2012 to celebrate the centennial of this partnership and a suite of print and digital conference materials was developed in support. Using historic photography, elegant typography, and a rich color palette, the conference materials celebrate the history of Rosenwald Schools, but compliment modern-day efforts to restore and preserve these buildings throughout the Southeast.
