Bringing in a new wave.
Over the past couple of months I have had the opportunity to recreate an entire magazine's layout and look. I chose to redesign Romantic Country because there was a lack of consistency which was not helping the editorial staff convey their information. After reading through the issues and coming up with new ways to make the magazine stronger, I got to work. I wanted to create an easy layout that the magazine could reuse from issue to issue. I updated the table of contents to a more modern look and organized the brief sections with a consistent body copy. My goal in this redesign was to create an easily read magazine with a more organized structure for different sections. I wanted to keep the current audience but allow the magazine to bring in a younger audience given the fact that everyone gets older and you will lose readers.
