Certain things I can't stand, crowds and tourism, and Rome has an abundance of both.
So the objective was to steer clear of those following tour guides holding aloft flags and listening to non-stop commentary.
I don't wish to be a travel snob, but why do that? Do anyone honestly retain any of the information.
Anyway, I headed for Rome in search of the cool, the interesting, and the impeccable design.
First stop coffee, last stop cocktails, and in between lay the curves of The MAXXI and the ceiling of the Jesuit church.
