In this school Project, was proposed a work group, to develop and construct a trailer for off-road bikes.
The entire project extended through research, images, sketches and models. When the idea was set, we started by building the trailer in Solidworks, when this was finished, the functional model in real scale and with the real materials began.
The goal was to create a versatile and innovative trailer, but most off all functional in adventure and in every day action.
With this work we will expose our design methology:
The first thing we did was a search for the current products that are on the market.
And then we did a survey on a specific forum for btt bikers.
First Prototype is importante to make sure the idea works.
Thats what we did here. The materials and the scale were not the right ones but it was enough to see that it was going to work.
The next thing we did was a real scale drawing so wee could understand the proportions.
Next thing was the 3D modelling in solidworks.

After all of the study, we were ready to go to the shop and start building the true trailer, with the real materials.
Its probably one of the most fun parts of the process.
The other fun part was the experiment and try out what we have build.
Fortunatly it worked just fine and we get to do some videos.
The project was exposed in the product design week in ESAD.
