RoboCop 2 - Cain 3D Model (AutoCAD)

Each part down to the bolts and screws is individually modelled for 100% accuracy. This was accomplished by hours of research online for photographic refernces to the film, toys and collectors models. Then hours of drawing and sketching each day and working out scales and propertions. I spend at least six hours a day each dayfor 2 month working on it.

The aim at the end was to be able to create an "exploded view" set of dimensioned plans and schematic for someone to actually build  a functioning model of it. I had a few engineers and some programmers in the local hackerspace who expressed some interest in taking the project on but when the drawing files were destroyed the project was doomed. And I was looking forward to having a remote control killing machine of my own design. Who wouldn't? :)
