APRIL 6 // BROKEN JAR OF PERFUME — MARK 14:1-11
A woman, who likely knows brokenness, breaks a jar of perfume and pours it on Jesus’ head. This happens at the home of a man knows as “Simon the Leper”. There is beauty in that broken jar pointing to Jesus’ beauty, kingship, and sacrifice for you.

APRIL 13 PALM SUNDAY // BROKEN TEMPLE CURTAIN — MARK 15:33-41
When Jesus dies “the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom”. This curtain kept unholy people away from a holy God. The beauty is in the fact that, in Jesus, you can burst through that divider into the arms of God.

APRIL 20 SUNRISE SERVICE  // BROKEN PIECE OF BREAD —MARK 14:12-26
At “the Last Supper” Jesus took bread and broke it, then said, “Take it; this is my body”. That beautiful broken thing has been celebrated ever since, around the world and across the ages. Along with the wine, it is a picture of union with Jesus Christ through his given body and shed blood.

APRIL 20 EASTER SERVICE // BROKEN TOMB SEAL — MARK 16:1-8 AND MATTHEW 27:66
On the way to the tomb, a group of women realize they have a problem: “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?” Matthew says that Jesus’ enemies had made the tomb secure by “putting a seal on the stone and posting a guard”. When the women arrive, there is a big surprise. It is a beautiful one for people bothered by brokenness. We will party because of that broken tomb seal.
