I recently made a new Twitter account and decided I wanted a 'snazzy' new background to go with it after a few attempts I still wasn't completely happy and was't conveying the message I wanted it to. But after following a tutorial on psd.tutsplus I gathered some techniques and styles that I decided I wanted to use for my background.
So on a day off from school, I decided to 'give it a bash'. I wanted to keep the design simple with a very generic, minimalistic feel; with lots of open space pared with subtle detail. Due to it being a personal background it didn't need to provide masses of information, just my name and a link to my Behance Profile. I wanted to use a pleasing array of complimenting colours but not so much that It would cause seizures. The background was created with the use of Layer Styles and Filters applied to Smart objects. Overall the background took around 3 hours to complete.
