Restore 2011 - Event For Freedom From Sex-Trafficking

Restore 2011 Event Design
festive hand-drawn type identity and event communications
Restore 2011 is the 4th Annual New Year's Eve fundraiser bash that supports a non-profit that rescues women from sex-trafficking in NYC. (www.restorenyc.org) The event is a hopeful celebration full of life (as it is new year's after all). The event identity always leverages the color red and usually done in a dynamic and playful tone. Focus is always brought around the name "Restore" as both the name of the event and the name of the non-profit. This naming strategy and nature of the event communications allows freedom from the organization's standard identity fonts.

The event is high-end (with ticket prices ranging up to $200), and this year's theme is "Hollywood Glamour." The intention was to make it look festive and celebratory, but not too Christmas-like. The concept that I was getting across was for the identity to radiate life and light.

I created the design with Flame Painter, a tablet, multiple attempts at drawing the type, and finessing touches in Photoshop.

The response to the event identity and flyer has been incredible.
