RESPECT YOUTH: STOP PRESS SEEK TRUTH
This was my bachelor degree final year project, it focussed on looking at the positive endeavours of today's youth in society since there has been a lot of negative media portrayal of the young Britain. There are different elements to the project which all work together; firstly direct mail with a link to the main website, which is sent out to newspaper headquarters to make editors aware of the impact the media has. Once the website is opened there is a social network of positive young people who upload digital media examples of talents or good they do for the community. On the flipside young people are trafficked to the website via a YouTube music video viral, which includes music lyricist Peigh. This is a network of tools that come together to raise awareness of a positive youth movement, through the main tool of social networking.
Above is the simple home page social network graphics, the use of bright neon colours keeps the target engaged and below are the search page (search by talent or area), profile creator page, and an in depth look on a profile account.
This is the font, specially created for this brief. I was inspired by the protest boards which was the theme for the music video - so I used a simple stencil which I tried different variations of inner and outer strokes to create a bold impact.
