We were asked to study our blue plaques character, given by a random selection. We needed to come up with an outcome, which explained our character, and to bring it to life and make it relevant for a contemporary audience.
My idea was to make a poster for Charles Dickens with a humorous twist, and to brand the character with a current brand. I decided to brand it with Apple and London Underground. The concept was, to show what Charles Dickens used in his time and compare it with what he would have used today. With advancements in technology, such an image would raise the sale of Apple and target the fans of Charles Dickens. There could also be an iPhone Application from which a user can read all his stories and find out information related to him while they travel on London Underground
