Reflect takes its name from the way the base mimics the changing landscape of Fiordland in the South Island of New Zealand. The non-geometric form is reflected on opposite sides yet as you move around the table, the perspective and angles change just as they would on Milford Sound.
The top is made from ancient Totara, featuring butterfly joints to ensure the slab remains stable. The live edge expresses the raw beauty of the wood and showcases the majestic way in which Mother Nature crafts this wonderful material. A brushed stainless steel base was chosen to both compliment and highlight the Totara’s natural beauty while also presenting a visual reference to where this timber was salvaged.
Designed for and manufactured by Treology in Christchurch, they say …
‘This statement piece features the imperfections of naturally felled Totara timber hewn into raw-edge slabs, butterfly joins and stainless steel, wire-base, sculptural legs.’
