'Redlight' is a personal project done by me to express one of the dark side of the India & Indian woman. In india, 'Readlight' is a word which is used to indicate a local prostitution area. Kamathipura is one of the a huge redlight (prostitution) area from Mumbai.

In India, when someone utters the word ‘Redlight’, a dark night with bright colors & make bold enough to capture our attention. As we move closer and observe those seductive gestures we recognize them. We feel disgusted & embarrassed looking at them, but when viewed artistically we realized that the bright colors along with those body gestures make up a dark but bold picture depicting a harsh reality and the depth of darkness in their life. I tried to present this topic through these illustrations by using Black Ink & Acrylic colors as medium. I made an attempt to use bright colors with darkness to generate interest.
