To redesign the packaging for Panera Bread Co. take out experience. The goal was to focus on creating sustainable packaging in comparison to what the company originally had. I chose the Panera off 23rd Street in Lawrence, KS.
When I got my takeout, that included a cup of soup and a bagel, the company gave me two large bags, one for the soup and one for the bagel, as well as 3 napkins, uneeded tissue as well as two knifes and a plastic spoon. The amount of product given greatly exceeded what is actually needed for the consumer to transport the food.
I chose to apporach the situation focused on eliminating the large amount of packaging that Panera was giving each consumer. I went with a stackable idea that would allow for every customer to have a unique expericence that allowed for what they ordered to be placed in either one cube, two, or three. The availability for a unique and personal design allowed for me do design 3.75 3.75 cubes that are large enough to hold soup, salad, or bread.
