  • Redesign Gaillard
    class project
  • This is a redesign project for the famous art nouveau designer Eugene Gaillard. We chose one of his famous art nouveau chairs and reinterpreted it. The original one was made out of bent wood. As an alternative, we used a curved metal frame for the chair, so that it respects the curves specific to the art nouveau style. To create the back and seat of the chair we used reinforced string. The chair is made using string art concepts.
