Reckless Rocks is a small business in Los Angeles, California that was started in December of 2006 by Ms. Marilyn Ballard. While her pieces vary in materials, scale and execution, her line consistently features natural gemstones. Her line appeals to the LA crowd of “effortless chic” socialites, rockstars, and celebrities.
The jewelry is packaged in plain black boxes with a minimal color palette to allow the gemstones themselves to be the most important feature of the design. White or black interiors will highlight her different pieces of jewelry while pearlescent beige paper additions to the boxes exterior feature iconography that was developed to be consistent with the branding and allow a piece of jewelry to be identified within its protective case. The three icons identify the area of the body the jewelry is designed for (ear, neck, or hand) and the colors of stones used in each piece.
A gemstone guide to be included with each of her pieces to informs the customer of the properties of the gems they purchased as well as the other 23 stones she frequently uses to encourage brand loyalty. This guide contains information about the properties of the stone, its geographic origins, and “Why you want it.” Read Less
