  • Rebit: Taking the headache out of backup
  • Dell, Seagate, HP and Maxell all have something in common: Rebit. Hailed as the PC’s answer to Apple’s time machine — Rebit is smart, yet amazingly simple, backup software.
  • The challenge
  • While Rebit had been extremely successful developing solutions for major hard drive manufacturers, they had not focused on growing their own consumer sales. To jump start this strategic initiative, they enlisted me to help develop a new brand identity and expression.

  • The online experience: Rebit’s e-commerce website was designed for people to understand how Rebit helps them backup their data easily.
  • Seeing it in action: To help visualize how RebitPlus works, I created this video that tells the story of a laptop and the effortless way that Rebit can keep your data safe. 
  • Logo redesign: The new mark was an evolution of their existing logo that was inspired by the Rebit name and the friendly brand image that reflects the spirit of the company. The brand expression highlights Rebit’s brand purpose: to reinvent how people think of backup — from tedious and time-consuming to simple and automatic.
