Description: Before I even started desiging a CD package for Ray Charles. I looked into his previous CD Packages and took-in what I could. From there I started listening to his music as a source of inspiration - this is where the majority of it came from. Listening to Ray Charles all I thought of was "movement".
Movement became the number one source for everything - to the logo and paper. This movement is represented throughout with 'lines' as a way to express his music - which explains my usage of them.

For the Logo - again "movement" comes into play. I thought how can I make Ray Charles not read as 'Ray Charles', but as RAY ChAr- LeS. Solution was to play with scale and skewing the letter. I also took the "Piano" as an element for the logo. What's represented in the logo from the Piano are the "Black Keys", the black keys are used in the logo as an extension to give the Logo a bit of a 3-Dimensional Form.
