I chose the pair of chocolate bars (dark and white) from a selection of salt & pepper, tea and coffee, oil and vinegar and ketchup and brown sauce.
Looking to do something ’British‘, but not cliche, I decided to draw an item from wartime Britain.
The ration book was an integral part of society, every household had one. During the war and in the years preceding it chocolate was seen as a luxury and used to boost morale.
