Rameswaram, It is a pilgrimage place for Hindu religious people. It is believed to be a place where Rama devoted Lord Shiva after conquering Lanka and rescue Sita. This place is visited by both Siva and Vishnu devotees. It is an island which is connected to India by Pamban Bridge. Rameswaram also known as Pamban Island.
Rameswaram also carries the ruins of Dhanushkodi, A village which is destructed by cyclone in 1964 and a passenger train was washed out and the 100 passengers were drowned. It believed that 75% of the Dhanushkodi still remains under the sea.
