    Every year the RSA Conference picks either a historical figure or conceptual theme as an overall element used throughout the Conference's media. This year the theme as the Great Cipher. The Great Cipher was a nomenclator cipher developed by Antoine Rossignol for the French Royal family. Three Generations of Rossignols encrypted messages for the French crown, after they died, the key to the code was lost and the messages were unreadable for almost 200 years.
