RISD Foundations: Spatial Dynamics, 1st Semester

  • This piece was my final project for Spatial Dynamics. I created a packing tape cast of my own body limb by limb, pieced it together, and hung it in front of a projection of a sky and moon to attain the interesting visual effect of the shadow of the tape.
  • This modular form is made of ten separate pieces of folded Bristol board.
  • This project was made using six identically cut pieces of wood that fit together to create one form.
  • This plasticine sculpture is an approximately 1/2 scale model of a snapping turtle from the nature lab.

  • This piece was made by cutting and sculpting six identical pieces of wood that fit together to form one interlocking, self-supporting form. The patterns were inspired by the egg chambers of pine bark beetles.
