RBC Office Building Retrofit

A 40 year old office building was simply worn out.  The existing facade of 902 tiny windows created a dreary interior with no natural light.  Our team re-imagined both the cladding, interiors and building systems as a high performance building that would provide a better working environment while improving the energy performance of the building.  Project is currently under construction.

Design concept sketch.  The basic shape is reimagined as a simple box clad in light panels with a curtain wall facade 'clipped' on. The base is completely stripped back to a simple glass facade alowing light to enter and the life of the building to animate the street.

Re-imagined entry with new ramp.  The building's simple strucutre is revealed and clad in light coloured granite
