Although from the same country, my husband and I have very different backgrounds, speak different languages and have a diverse group of friends. When it came to our wedding we kept this in mind. I designed a bilingual invite which made use of graphs indicating our different interests in popular topics.
To RSVP, guests were asked to join our facebook group and post a picture of themselves and the ‘RSVP answer card’. It resulted in strangers being more comfortable when seated next to each other after they had time to become acquainted through a little facebook stalking.
