I had the opportunity to join a photowalk, featuring the streets of Quiapo, Manila. With me are talented photographers who have had varied experiences in street photography. I noticed that most of them were taking photos of the landscape of the market while I, wanting to be dfferent, remembered a work of one photographer who framed and shot all the mass produced crucifixes filling up the whole space of his subject. For me it was a simple idea, not an entirely new way of composing a photograph but then I thought it would be nice to try it too. Since food is what I wanted to show in my photographs, I got close with the "bilaos" of the vendors and framed the foods and filled the whole frame. The main theme for me was the color of the food and the patterns it created. Unfortunately, my work did not get published but I was still glad I did it anyway.
