Brand language and Web Platform to establish a new direction for the Qcut brand
Q cut is a long established hairdressing salon based in Kew, West London.
In 2008 Q saw the need to attract a new type of client as young 'Up and coming' stylist named Syd Hayes Joined the team. Syd is based out of the salon but hotfoots it to shoots for Alexander McQueen, Another Magazine and Dazed, to name a few, when the call comes.
The brief was to create a web portal that was to reach a younger, fashionable consumer without alienating the longstanding local (bread and butter) client base.
A bespoke site was created that utilised an evolution of the previous design elements stretching the brand into a new space.
The websites retro style resists the trend of 2.0 and imbues Q's genuine spirit.At present the website has recieved over 2000 unique visitors with high return rates and is often conplimented the customers.
