Psychogeography is the study of how a place can affect a person's feelings and thoughts. I was always interested in the 'creepy' and was always curious about what made something creepy. For me, it is the not knowing that will make a place feel more frightening. This way your imagination takes over. To show this I chose three abandoned factories that I knew very little about but was constantly drawn to. I added no effect to the images to show that your own imagination could make the place seem worse than it actually is.
The postcards are in two collections. The first collection are digital prints of the postcards. The second is a set of photo-polymer prints, a fantastic method of printing photographs. It gave the images a softer, more blurred, feel about them. I titled these pieces 'I just want to go Home...'
