I was asked to design a promotional poster for Dutty Girl, a Bristol-based clothing brand, to advertise the opening of their 2010 pop-up store at the Goldmine. The brief was quite open, stating only that it should include the company logo and be able to be reproduced as a souvenir print, almost like a gig poster. I looked at their existing artwork and came up with my own spin on their previous flyers, incorporating their logo into the character’s earrings.
The character was hand-drawn and was imported into Photoshop, where I added colours and lots of textures and highlights to create the final piece.
