BOOK INTRODUCTION"We all have a place we love, somewhere that draws us to it, and when we are away, we wish for nothing more than to be back there. This place is not a physical location, but where we do what we love. Our canvas. Whether it is the concrete jungle, the snowy peaks or the turbulent sea, we will all share the same want... Freedom. These are the places we express ourselves and there is no other culture that does so in such a diverse range of ways. The action sports culture is one of a kind, yet I constantly see rivalries and separations between the individual sports. This confuses me, why when we share so many of the same attitudes and philosophies do we not share new ideas between sports? The only good examples of bringing the action sport culture together as one are from the likes of Red Bull, who may be doing an amazing job but are doing it with commercial interests.

Project ThreeSixty is the start of an effort to encompass every aspect of action sports. It is a visual project to open the minds of those outside action sports and break down the separations within. I want to show how all action sports interrelate with a shared culture and similar ideas. It is for the artists, by the artists. A community of like-minded people striving for the same feeling. A way of pushing the sports harder, further, quicker through sharing ideas and influences.

This book is the combination of my three biggest creative passions in life: design, photography and action sports. It is the first of many forms that will showcase the art and expression involved, treating athletes as much as artists as the photographers and videographers who follow their every moves. Through the photography in this book, I hope to illustrate how similar we all are, educate outsiders that we are not just idiots jumping off stuff and open minds to new and interesting things."
